Pieter M. A. Desmet is full professor of Design for
Experience at the Faculty of Industrial Design Engi-
neering at Delft University of Technology. He chairs a
research group that focuses on the fields of design for
emotion and subjective wellbeing. Desmet is board
member of International Design for Emotion Society
and co-founder of Delft Institute of Positive Design,
a scientific institute that stimulates and initiates the
development of knowledge to support designers in
their attempts to design for human flourishing.
Besides his research, he contributes to community

Verónica Devalle holds a PhD in History and Theory

Laura Forlano is an assistant professor of Design
at the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Tech-

Alexandre Apsan Frediani is a lecturer and

Murray Goulden is a research fellow at the Horizon
Digital Economy Institute, University of Nottingham.
He has a background in Sociology and Science and
Technology studies. His work focuses on the role of
digital technologies within social practices: 在

tions for governance, specifically in the areas of ener-
gy, mobility, and digital exclusion. A second, 有关的

Matthew Holt is the program manager of Design
and Architecture for the University of Technology
Sydney’s pathway institution and international
college, UTS:INSEARCH. He has a PhD in Art History
and Theory from The University of Sydney. Holt is a
practicing graphic designer, and he recently published
his first book of short fiction, Asymmetries (Puncher &
Wattmann 2015).
Ilpo Koskinen is professor at the Hong Kong Poly-
technic University. His work has been about method-
ology, design in cities, and mobile multimedia. 他的

Grace Lees-Maffei is reader in Design History,
director of the Professional Doctorate in Heritage
(DHeritage) and leader of the TVAD Research Group

Sigrun Lurås earned a Master in Industrial Design
Engineering from the Norwegian University of
Science and Technology in 2005 and a PhD from the
Oslo School of Architecture and Design in January
2016. Both in her research and design practice she is
interested in the designing of critical systems for
complex contexts, and how designers can best cope
within such design situations to create designs that
balance different (and sometimes contradictory) 需要
and requirements. Currently she holds the position
of interaction designer at Sparebank 1 Forsikring, A
major Norwegian insurance company.
Kalle Lyytinen holds a PhD in Computer Science
from the University of Jyväskylä and a Dr. h.c. 从

of Management Design at Case Western Reserve

with a thesis focusing on designing long-term goal
engagement using conflicting concerns. The goal of
her PhD research is to develop tools and methods
that support user-centered designers in identifying
emotional dilemmas during user research and in
generating design ideas that address these dilemmas.
She is a member of Delft Institute of Positive Design,
which aims to explore the contribution of design to
human flourishing and happiness.
Ashis Jalote Parmar is an assistant professor of
Design Thinking in the business policy area at Indian
Institute of Management Ahmedabad (llMA). She is
a strong advocator of promoting design thinking
to nurture innovation in premier engineering and
management institutes in India. To obtain her doctoral
degree from Industrial Design Engineering Depart-
蒙特, TU Delft, 荷兰人, Ashis was awarded
the Marie Curie Fellowship from European Union-
FP6. Ashis is the faculty chair for executive education
on “Design Thinking for Nurturing Innovation.”
She consults corporate in the area of business trans-
formation and new product development.
Stuart Reeves is an EPSRC senior research fellow at
the Mixed Reality Lab, in the School of Computer
科学, University of Nottingham, 英国. He explores
the design of interactive systems, and has primarily
conducted research on interactions with technology
in public settings, particularly in cultural and perfor-
mance spaces. As an EPSRC fellow he is investigating
the relationships between academic HCI research and
UX and design professions. He is also author of the
book Designing Interfaces in Public Settings.
Stan Ruecker is an associate professor at IIT Institute
of Design in Chicago. He works in humanities visual-

focusing on the design of experimental prototypes to
support the interpretive process.
