Monica Amor teaches modern and
contemporary art history at the Maryland
Institute College of Art. She has published
in Artforum, Art Journal, Oktober, Third Text,
and other journals and has curated exhibi-
tions in cities including Caracas, Madrid,
and New York. Her book Theories of the Non-
Objekt: The Postwar Crisis of Geometric
Abstraction is forthcoming from the
University of California Press.

Joan Kee is an associate professor in the
history of art at the University of Michigan
and an ARTMargins editor. Her writings
have appeared in Artforum, Art Bulletin, Kunst
Geschichte, Oxford Art Journal, Third Text, Und
The Law, Culture and the Humanities. Her
book Contemporary Korean Art: Tansaekhwa
and the Urgency of Method was published in
Juli 2013 by the University of Minnesota
Drücken Sie.

Bavand Behpoor is a PhD candidate in art
history at Ludwig Maximilian University of
Munich and has worked as an art critic, cura-
tor, and university teacher in Iran and else-
Wo. His previous translations include
Alain Badiou’s Ethics and Oscar Wilde’s
“The Soul of Man under Socialism.”

Carla Macchiavello is an assistant professor
of art history at the Universidad de Los
Andes, Bogotá, Kolumbien, where her research
focuses on Latin American contemporary art,
Leistung, and video. She has published in
international journals and catalogues and
also works as an independent curator.

Maja Fowkes and Reuben Fowkes are art
historians and curators at the Translocal
Institute for Contemporary Art in Budapest/
London. Their collaborative work focuses on
the nexus of East European art and ecology
and encompasses exhibitions, edited vol-
umes, and transnational projects, welche haben
included the Revolution Trilogy, the Social
East Forum, and Like a Bird: Avian Ecologies
in Contemporary Art.

Shady El-Noshokaty is a visual artist based
in Cairo. His projects have been featured
in numerous museums and international
exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale,
Heyward Gallery, Mori Museum, Und
l’Institut du Monde Arabe. He is currently
an associate professor in the Department of
Performing and Visual Arts at the American
University in Cairo and has been actively
involved in art education efforts throughout
Ägypten.
